Following the protocols and guidelines from the CDC and Arizona Department of Health, this is what you should expect during your appointment. All patients when entering Valley Pain and Wellness Center will be asked if they have a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing which are the four most common symptoms of COVID-19. If you answer yes to any of those symptoms, you will be asked to leave and instructed care to contact your primary care physician immediately.

Next you will be required to use hand sanitizer (unless there is an allergy to alcohol of which you will be required to wash your hands). Before proceeding, your temperature will be taken with a forehead scanner and your oxygen levels will be taken with a pulse ox on your finger after it has been wiped with an alcohol swab. The CDC recommends anyone with a temperature above 100.4 degrees will be asked to return home. Please note that all staff and providers are screened prior to the start of every shift.

All staff will be wearing PPE including masks and disposable gloves that are changed after each patient. We are using Lysol disinfectant spray as well as Clorox and hospital grade CAVI wipes to sanitize tables, chairs, and surfaces after each use. You will notice our lobby has a single chair and the rest are spread across our Therapy Bay with greater than 6 ft apart. To continue with the check in process you will notice that the iPads will not be available and staff will be performing the intakes vs self check in.

Per the AZ Department of Health and CDC guidelines, we are requiring all patients to wear facemasks in the office. If you do not have one, our office has a limited supply of disposable masks for a small fee for purchase. We appreciate your understanding in our efforts to reduce risk of spread.

Please do not show up early for your appointment. Only patients are allowed into the office. No guests will be admitted unless the patient is a minor. Our high risk patients have priority over non -high risk patients for the first and last appointment time slots available per shift. If you show up to your appointment and there happens to be a wait, our staff will encourage you to wait in your cars until we are ready. We are doing our best with scheduling to prevent patient overlap. All new patients will be required to fill out paperwork prior to their appointment. Upon leaving, you will notice a clean pen and used pen container. Please take a clean pen to sign credit card slips and place it in the used container when done so the staff can disinfect.

Thank you so much for your cooperation and we look forward to serving you.
